Director Bio
Anna Mikami (SAG-AFTRA) is a bicoastal Japanese/Chinese filmmaker. She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and English.
She grew up in equal parts Hong Kong and Tokyo before attending NYU Tisch for her BFA. Her most personal short, ‘Clique Bait’ won her the opportunity to direct her fully-funded first feature, ‘Souvenirs’, which was recently acquired by Lifetime (A+E Networks).
Her feature, Nostalgia, was a semi-finalist for Outfest’s 2022 Screenwriting Labs & her short, ‘What Do We Call This?’, was a semi-finalist for HollyShorts 2022 competition.
It is her mission to continue telling complicated and nuanced narratives featuring Asian women.
She is managed by Invictus Entertainment.
